This week Leah Chavie Skincare Center & Boutique was featured in Splash Magazine’s “Things We Love”.
From Splash Magazine:
Get the VIP treatment at Leah Chavie Skincare’s new facility, where privacy is paramount. The unmarked building sits across the street from the boutique’s original Lincoln Park location, and Leah herself performs all skin services.
Leah Chavie, the woman who brought DNA CryoStem Cell Therapy (Vampire Facials) to Lincoln Park has achieved success with her skincare boutique and just opened a second location directly across the street from the first. Leah says the new boutique was designed to be an ultra private oasis to cater to celebrity and VIP clients. In fact, the facility is so private that it remains unmarked by signage and the blinds remain closed. Leah is the only certified medical esthetician and laser technician to service clients out of the VIP boutique, giving 8 on-staff estheticians space to take on more clients at the original boutique.
On Monday, March 11th Leah Chavie was a guest speaker at the America’s Beauty Show for the Beauty Changes Lives organization.

A gloss that changed the world
The first lip gloss was developed by legendary Hollywood makeup artist, Max Factor. Because all films were black and white, what brought interest and definition were texture and light. So after years of matte lipsticks (he used to use black to give the impression of red), he made the shift to shiny and glossy and invented lip gloss. Two years later, he sold the first commercial lip gloss called X-Rate. It stayed on the market for seven decades until P&G discontinued it in 2003 – no soul!
What is the enduring allure of lip gloss? Well, first it’s hard to find someone it doesn’t look good on. It transcends all ages. It’s always on trend. It brings youth to the face. It can be worn with jeans or a ball gown. It can be applied without a mirror. And it feels good. Not only does it feel good but it can actually be good for the lips, those tender membranes that have none of the protective abilities of the skin.
This past week was a busy week for the lady’s of Leah Chavie Skincare Center and Boutique. Between the Whitney Reynolds Show launch party, hanging out with Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child backstage at ABC Chicago, no rain or snow could slow these ladies down.
